Free Yoga!

yoga

For the second year in a row, we are kicking off this amazing festival with a free yoga session at 10:00 am on the main festival lawn.

SoFul Yoga and Wellness at Railwalk and Heart of Salisbury have joined Earth Day Jam to offer three other set-break yoga sessions throughout the day. These twenty-five minute sessions will be hosted by @shantih_kristen at 11:45, @eclectichaven at 2:15, and @anne_cote_hoffman at 3:30. Meet us for any/all the festival yoga you can. You’ll find us in the wellness area to the right of the main stage–be sure to visit the studio booths for class schedules and more information on what Salisbury’s #yogastudios have to offer! Hope to see you on the Green on April 22!

Fundraiser with Blake Christiana

Yarn has played Earth Day Jam before and we were bummed it didn’t work out to have them back this year. But we may have landed something even better.

With 10 studio albums, Yarn has played upwards of 170 shows a year and sharing stages with such superstars as Dwight Yoakam, Railroad Earth, Marty Stuart, Allison Krauss, The Lumineers and many more.

The accolades piled up quickly. They have landed on the #Grammy ballot 4 times, garnered nods from the Americana Music Association, placed top five on both Radio and Records and the #AMA album charts, airplay on SiriusXM, CNN, CMT, Rolling Stone and more.

As Yarn look forward to their next 2 studio releases in 2023, Blake looks to establish himself more as the songwriter he’s always been. These next 2 releases are to be Blake’s most personal, polished, and best of Yarn’s career so far.

These songs all tell a story individually but they also tell a story as a whole, a songwriter and musician ready to dive deeper into the music and the art for a greater result that he believes anyone can appreciate, relate to, and enjoy.

Experience Blake and his newest work through a raw, intimate solo performance on SHUG’s Stage Friday, March 31st.

So maybe not AT Earth Day Jam, but he’s helping us raise money for Happy Roots ON THE ROAD to Earth Day Jam 🙌🏽

Purchase tickets for this show OR stop in Shug’s at anytime and buy some raffle tickets for a #limitededition custom built bicycle donated by New Belgium Brewing!

About Palmyra –
Established in the Shenandoah Valley, Palmyra’s set explores the fusion of traditional folk string instruments, three part harmonies and foot percussion. The trio captures the collective spirit of three Virginia natives, Teddy (he/him), Manoa (he/him), and Sasha (they/them), often described as a distant cousin of the progressive folk band, Punch Brothers mixed with elements of Oliver Wood or The Avett Brothers. Palmyra’s songs are intimate and contemplative, with arrangements that allow them to create the illusion of a full, larger-than-three ensemble. The trio’s sound is a nod to Appalachia and Midwestern Americana, apparent through their stirring craftsmanship and dedication to a folk-driven, innovative experience throughout each live performance.

In 2022, Palmyra made their Newport Folk Festival debut, were named the FloydFest 2022 OnTheRise Winner, and performed over 150 tour dates on acclaimed stages up and down the east coast, including a support tour with national headlining act, Illiterate Light. They are currently working on writing and recording music in their new home of Richmond, VA and will be touring all of 2023.
