About Us

Finding Inspiration In Every Customer

The state of North Carolina is known for its rich agricultural history. Therefore it has been a great honor for Hemp Quest Farms to have received permission from the state to grow medicinal hemp since January of 2019.

Devon Vince, owner of Hemp Quest Farms, has traveled extensively throughout North Carolina, Oregon and Colorado to work with growers, seed producers, and equipment manufacturers in order to learn the best practices and procedures for growing medical hemp. His varied background in horticultural genetics and technique have aided in the success of the cultivation of various varieties of medicinal hemp here at Hemp Quest Farms.

Devon Vince and his partner, Green Nurse Nicole Ryan, believe that with knowledge, hard work and perseverance they can help change the cannabis industry for the better and solidify North Carolina as the premier state for high quality medical hemp, top shelf CBD products and well educated retailers.

North Carolina Community Garden Partners

NC Community Garden Partners

Founded in 2008, NCCGP grew from statewide discussions about how to move community gardening forward across North Carolina. Since our inception, NCCGP has cultivated a network of gardeners and supporters who share support, information, and experience with new gardens and with each other.

NCCGP is an unincorporated non-profit that was created by Children, Youth, and Families At Risk (CYFAR) – A Sustainable Community Projects grant through NC A&T, where it was coordinated/managed by university employees.

We’ve lived under fiscal sponsorships from established non-profit organizations, such as NC Public Health and most recently, Rural Advancement Foundation International (RAFI). Currently, we function as an all-volunteer board of committed community leaders.

The Green Assistant

Green Assistant

Earth Day Jam 2023 sustainability consultant The Green Assistant is based out of Asheville NC. Walker Spruill aka ‘The Green Assistant’ has been working with businesses and individuals to help reduce, mitigate, and even eliminate waste. She has been meeting with us and helping with little to zero waste incentives and initiatives.

Our food trucks and vendors have signed agreements not to serve styrofoam or single use plastic. Mainly because plastic NEVER goes away. We’ll educate more on why we’re doing these things leading up to and at the event.

Big thanks to one of our sponsors Salisbury High School Nature Club, for stepping up to help with our ‘Green Team’ and help direct festival goers what goes in what bins.

Thanks Green Assistant and Salisbury High Nature Club for helping us out!

Crown Town Compost

Crown Town Compost’s mission is to empower anyone to improve the beauty and health of their home, their community, and the planet.

Founded in 2014, Crown Town Compost was born when Kris, David, and Marcus met at a social entrepreneurship workshop and discovered they shared a common passion for environmental conservation. They collaborated to create a business plan for their idea, which focused on collecting food waste from local businesses and homes and transforming it into nutrient-rich compost for gardens and farms.

In those early days, the team (mostly David) rode around Charlotte on bike and in a vintage truck to pick up Charlotte’s food scraps. Crown Town Compost has grown a lot over the last 10 years–now serving hundreds of homes and businesses throughout Charlotte-Mecklenburg, and we’re eager to continue serving the Queen City.
